Quilotoa Day Tour

You will be picked up early from your hotel in Quito, then you will pass the Toachi River Canyon to learn about the canyon and to take a view of this place. The second spot will be in Latacunga city at Cotopaxi province. From this point you will head west for a one-hour drive through the unforgettable Andean scenery and reach the Quilotoa lake where at first you’ll visit Shalala Mirador, it’s a beautiful modern viewing platform that offers a truly unique perspective overlooking the volcanic crater.

Later you will have a guided hike down to the Quilota lagoon to observe the mind-blowing crater lake where you will have some free time to take pictures, relax and walk around, before beginning the hike back out. Time for lunch. To continue the trip you would spend some time craft workshop in Tigua or just explore the Quilotoa community.

On the late afternoon, we will head back to Quito.

Note: The itinerary can be adapted directly with your guide, depending on your interests.
